Microsoft Windows provides default parameters for Internet navigation. However, they are meant for any type of connections. Therefore, the reason why your connection is not so fast is that you are using non-optimized parameters. Internet Accelerator can optimize your computer for a specific network type.
The program features an intuitive interface. However, the ease of use of the application depends on the mode you choose. The easiest choice is just to provide the type of connection you are using from a list. Then, by just pushing the Accelerate button, the program automatically calculates the best parameters for each of the categories. However, you will need to restart the system at this point.
The advanced mode will allow you to adjust such intricate parameters as maximum transfer unit, time to live, number of simultaneous connections per browser, etc. However, you should know that applying these options could actually bring about adverse results.
The program can be set to start automatically during system start and remain running from the Tray. Fortunately, it can detect when new updates are released so that you can always benefit from the latest versions.
In general, Internet Accelerator is a fine application. I used the automatic mode to optimize my connection, which helped increase my browsing speed noticeably.
